Dear Friends
We thank God for each one of you and because God is in control of history carrying out his purposes. God "inhabits a territory in which we cannot function, the impossible."
We give glory to God and as Psalm 115 says, "Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." We are grateful to God to see his hand touching lives and at the end of this year we feel like the people of God at their time when they were singing and crying out to the Lord saying, "When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.", Psalm 126.
“Nothing we do is complete. No prayer expresses our faith fully. No confession brings perfection. No pastoral visit brings totality. No program accomplishes the mission of the church. This is who we are; we plant seeds that will one day grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold the future promise. We cannot do everything. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for God’s grace to come in and do the rest. We can never see the end result, but that is the difference between the builder and the laborer. We are laborers, not builders, ministers, not Messiahs. We are prophets of a future that is not ours. Amen”
Thank you very much for accompanying us throughout this year and being one body, one family. Please continue to pray for us so that in this new year that begins we can fulfill your purpose of blessing all people, making your name known and that the Kingdom of God continues to advance. We pray for all of you and we love you. Happy New Year 2025.
